That Same Irrefusable Offer...

Yesterday, it was the day before today. What amazing irrelevence that has with anything. But in general one can continually count on yesterday being there, tomorrow being the day after today is also rather reliable. But I digress, let's make Jesus first in our lives...lets not let petty things get in the way of our blessings. What point is there in being alone in life? I don't mean being single, but living life without Christ. Being truly alone. Why? What peculiar beings we are, we live with the knowlege that the God of the universe would like to dwell within and among us, he promised He would abide in our praises, and come into our hearts. But rather than letting Him lead our lives we let our bills upset us, we let our petty indifferent issues control our comings and our goings. Why? Yesterday I went out to Eagle Valley institute for mentally retarded children. (It's called a children hospital though the age ranges from 12 - 25)
The fourth week of every month we go out and sing praises with the children. Then we fellowship with them. These are people who can't speak, control their own bodies, or, some of them, even see. But when you look into their eyes, you realize that they know God's love in a way that we never would. Somehow their life of trust in others seems to speak a louder relationship with Christ than anything I've ever seen anywhere else. When we praise, some of them try to sing along, but you can tell that most of them know what's going on, and that they have a more profound understanding of God than anything that any man could ever write. The reason I'm typing this is because, when we forget the blessings that we have, when we let them go, sometimes we begin to take advantage or even start to expect blessings from God. God forbid, even think that they are not enough and throw them back in God's face. Put God in the leading role of your life's movie, and He will bless you and bless you abundantly. Put God first and He'll lead by the hand through your life. Praise God! And Love Him!
